The German Shepherd, which used to be known as the Alsatian is one of the most popular breeds on the planet.
Number two in the USA, Canada and New Zealand and in the top ten in the UK and most of European countries.
German Shepherds have a natural instincts to serve once trained. No other breed comes close to the variety of roles GSD fulfill with their human owners.
Services to the military, therapy dogs, search and rescue, protection, herding and finding drugs, people and explosive. This is all because of their phenomenal sence of smell.
